It's TUESDAY!
Finally got to see Asif after what is seems like forverer. we had to spend more than half of our time at the crappy metro store to get the phone fixed but atleast I'll get to talk to him every night before going to bed. Which definitely helps me sleep better!

I had a truly awful dream Sunday night. Asif and I were traveling on a cruise ship, and we'd come into a port, so we were walking around the city (I don't know which one). We stopped to watch a free opera that was being done in a mixture of Bangla and French, so I could only understand part of it. We met another couple and decided to split a taxi to take us back to the ship because some bad weather was coming. The skies were turning grey. The wind was beginning to be dangerously fierce, and sure enough, as we were traveling down the highway, a mail truck in front of us got blown over and was rolling, and I remember thinking, If a big mail truck gets blown over...then we're definitely dead. Then the taxi got blown over and began to roll.
Somehow we all survived, and Asif and I got out of the taxi and began to run down the median. (It occurs to me that I don't know why the wind didn't blow us away.) A plane was blown down into a field and exploded. It was awful. But we did make it back to the ship.
The dream then shifted to something about having a roommate at FAU that I didn't get along with, the girl kept messing with my things. ( I can share, but it has to be on my own terms. People just touching and taking my things without permission--that reallyyyy irks me. It's just rude.

Sooo Mr. gallimore told me that he voted for Nader and that really pissed me off. I mean could someone please explain to me why on earth anyone would vote for nader this election?! i really dont understand such a disregard for the outcome of this election where there is too much at stake. I understand that many people are disillusioned with this two-party system. The truth is, nader will NEVER be president. its very similiar to writing "mickey mouse" on the ballot, a way of saying "fuck the system, i dont like anyone whos running". how productive is that? nader isn't going to get his 7% because we are fighting wars without causes and explosives are being stolen and there are more important things right now than saying "fuck the system". I assure you that there isnt a single high ranking official that actually gives a fuck if you hate kerry and bush. whats important was getting bush out of the office. you're not going to do that by throwing your vote away. i'm sure voting for nader would be a more honest thing to do if thats who you REALLY want but i think its a pretty selfish thing to do because the big picture isnt being taken into account. am i saying to work within the system? yes. because working outside the system just isnt possible.
Whatever. I'm pretty much over bush winning by now. I figured that both candidates were pretty shitty anyway, one more shittier than the other. And even if kerry won i was setting myself up to be let down in the future. Its not the end of the world and i need to remember that.
