This week will be a lonely one...
Last week, we moved from the back office area of the library out to the public service area, so repairs could be started in the back. They have cut all the moldy sheet rock out, and new sheet rock will be put up probably in the next week. Then they will have to paint, carpet, and get the new furniture in the back before we can move back.
After today, this week will be lonely. I am taking John to the airport tomorrow so that he can attend a funeral of an old friend. He will be in Massachusetts until Friday.
Over the weekend, we went to the Slidell mall to buy him a new suit he could wear for the occasion. I think we did fairly well, with a two-piece DKNY suit, new belt, and new tie. I took a picture of him in the suit, but alas, it is on the camera at home, and I am at work. I had to hem the pants, but the hem job was not too apparent.
It will be strange for him to be the one traveling solo this time. Last few times, it was me. Wish him a safe flight. Because of the short notice, I had to book him on flights with two stops both ways.
I will miss him while he is gone, but we will make up for lost time over the weekend. 'Til next time...
