Slightly Insane

I had the busiest weekend. On Saturday at 8:15 AM I picked up my dad at the train station, then we went to the ship for class and FROZE. (I am taking classes with the Gazela crew to learn how to sail her. She is a tall ship, about 170 feet long, and the only original all wood non-replica tall ship in the world) I might even get to sail on her at the very end of April. IF so, I need to buy a climbing harness-for climbing up in the rigging and for safety in rough weather. Cool Beans)Then I dropped my dad off at SEPTA (public transit) to go home, and I went to work. After work I was supposed to go shopping with dad and prepare the meal for sunday lunch on the ship, (he had already postponed it from fri evening) But he had decided to go out with his girlfriend (who is nice) Again. (that is why he postponed from friday) So at 10:00 at night, I get to go shopping for the ingredients for Soup, which still needs to be cooked for Sunday(and Dad is shocked that I am ticked off at this). I go to bed at 2:30 am and have to be up ad 7something am. So I go to the ship, and nobody cleaned up from the day before. I have to do dishes, and clean instead of prep the munchies that go with the soup. And, I was told the the Saturday cook was leaving cookies, so I didn't need to bake anything, and they were nowhere to be found, so I didn't have any dessert. While all of this was very frustrating, it was all cool in the end.
After all of this, I was ready for a nap. Instead of sleeping, however, I went to Linda's and we baked about 4-5 batches of Hamantashen cookies. YUUUUUMMMMMMM :-)
I stayed at her place, and went straight to work this morning. We were supposed to go to the flower show today right after work, but her back is having spontaneus hard muscle cramps, and she is in bed (smart person that she is).
I might be someone's final exam at the Dental School (which means my filling-that-is-not-a-root-canal would be free, But shceduling it will be tight.
On thursday night I get on a Greyhound Bus to Dayton. For 12 Hours. I will get in to Dayton at 8:00 in the morning (roughly) Then I get to spend all day seeing people at Earlham.
That will be fun.

I didn't get those hats done, but I have hope for tonight as my plans have changed. I plan to sit down with either buffy or firefly and knit as much as I can. It is taking me longer to finish the damn sleeve than it is to do the whole rest of the sweater. Pics soon, I Promise (no fingers crossed either, though I can't vouch for the toes)
