Heres a gift in this feather

I'm more than likely going to Story of the Year, it's going to be so much fun, they have a ripping live show. I'll apply for my leave this week probably.

Lately I've bought 2 new musical instruments that I have failed to mention on here, so I will now.

I've had it for a wee while now, but I have a Melodica and it rocks. It's still a little awkward to play and I'm slowly learning how to play basic piano so I can play it better. I know what all the notes are and can read basic music if I look at it long enough to figure it. I don't really have to learn to read music hard out though, its not like I want to play other peoples stuff. There is the odd occasion I guess.

My other instrument is Simon Hall's Fender Dobro style resonator guitar. I love it. It keeps me warm at night while hes many miles away in London. He had a few guitars he was selling, but this one is more me. 12 string guitars are cool to strumble but I can't really pickle around on them very well. Even though I'm much more of a strumbler than a pickler I like to have the option. I actually really suck at picking, so it would be a good excuse not to though :P Anyhow, with the time off from work, I've been playing quite a bit and then I got bored and decided to play a few covers for the hell of it. Just Cat Power, Bright Eyes, EELS really. Simon used to use it on stage, but has since removed the pickup from inside or something, but I don't have an amp anyway so I'm not going to bother to put one in at the moment. Anyway, I love it, it's my baby at the moment so no grubby fingers be touching it.

Last night my sisters friend and member of our band (The Band of Circus Preformers. The Band of Cicus Preformers is pretty much a joke made up to allow them to dye their hair unnatural colours and for me to be able to write them letters, to give to pesky teachers who grumble, that say that they are exempt from hair normality due to their extra-curricular as members of The Band of Cicus Preformers. And its Preformers because my dad can't say performers.) Kyla came to stay the night. Once my parents went to bed we played the classic game of getting all the grossest looking food from the cupboards, arranging them in a circle and spinning a bottle, where whatever the bottle lands on you have to eat it. It's good times. I got off pretty lightly, I got worchester sauce (toot toot), macaroni elbows, corn flour, alpha sprouts, garlic powder, some weird mustard, sultanas (I hate Sultanas so much) and some other stuff I forget right now. Kyla got the worst stuff, she got the baking soda, mums homemade tomato sauce and mums homemade relish (definitely the worst thing in the circle) and Kimberley got the Chow Chow. I was doing well copnsidering. The last things left were salt and coffee powder. Since we'd all had equal things, I figured we should all have to eat the last ones mixed together on the spoon. Half coffee powder, half salt is so gross. A spoon of that was a killer. Kyla actually threw up in our rubbish bin, it was awesome. I felt like shit afterwards. Aparently Kimberley got busted emptying the spew from the rubbish bin into the toilet at 2:30am by Mother. That would have looked so funny. We also made milo's beforehand with golden syrup and milo cereal and then honey as well in it. But it wasn't good at all. The honey helped though. The cereal was the worst, it felt like fear factor slugs or something. Kyla couldn't drink all of hers, so it ended up being an option in the circle of food, but Kimberley spun it up and by that time it was cold and the cereal had inflated to monstrous proportions.
