TM # 187- Which is the more exquisite sensation: revenge, relief, or vindication?

In the last year, I have experienced all three sensations, some multiple times, and I can tell you, the one that really stayed with me? None of them.

I stabbed Doctor Baltar in the neck with a pen. He definitely had it coming, and no, I am not going to discuss what he ( Read more... )

Hell, you're always welcome, Felix. You know that.

I really should try and rally the troops for another Blackbird. Probably take several years, considering the parts we need, but that's really the last time I really saw commissioned and enlisted really working together as a true team of equals and enjoying it.

Could work to raise morale around here, anyway.

Wait... Major Adama did... what?! Are you serious? What the hell was he thinking?

Helo has more self-control than I'd ever suspected.

Baltar should have been shot just for putting children at risk.

Or we all should have been shot, for allowing him to.

If we knew exactly what he was doing when he was doing it, maybe. But nothing came to light until after he was able to inflict all that damage and allowed the Cylons to slaughter us.

I've had a gun pointed at me for less and I've been shot in the stomach for less, so forgive me if I don't think we should hold ourselves responsible at the same level as Gaius Frakking Baltar.

I know of a few who might want to shoot anyone who helped to save my life. Did I ever thank you for that?

Am I going to be shot if you do?

You mean, Major Adama, right? Just checking, unless he got demoted again and I missed it.

Then again, wasn't he being referred to as "Mister Adama" during the trial? I'm not sure of the particulars about why that happened, though.

And... I wasn't there, but I asked Helo to let me know how the trial went. I don't remember him saying that Hera was in any risk -- what happened?

He put both Hera and President Roslin at risk by announcing to the entire fleet that it was Hera's blood that saved the President's life. All for Gaius frakking Baltar, too. Or the system? What kind of system lets that... thing... go free without at least making him stand up and take responsibility? Didn't the Major himself take responsibility for whatever he did? And didn't the Admiral make some kind of statement that maybe a military coup, in hindsight, wasn't the best way to go about things?

Maybe Helo didn't tell you because he didn't want you to worry? You should know, though.

Frak, the way the Major was talking, it was like he was trying to insinuate that the President never went off the chamalla! Well, okay, maybe not. I'm sure he didn't intend for it to come out that way. He couldn't have. He's Major Apollo, for gods' Kobol's sake.

I've got some possible particulars, but something tells me it's not a good idea to discuss this particular subject unless I have firsthand information, which I don't.

Most of the Colonial Fleet knew by that point about Hera and President Roslin. Scuttlebutt runs fast and furious on our ship, I'm afraid, so when Karl came back and filled me in on everything, I really wasn't that worried for her. I know; ironic, considering how usually I'm probably over-concerned.

Baltar can go frak himself for all I care.

And... "Major Apollo"? *little smile* You guys don't actually refer to us by our callsigns like that, do you?

Really? I'm almost ashamed to admit that little piece of information somehow got past me. It wasn't until... well, that's sort of private. As for Hera, I think you've more than earned the right to be overconcerned about her, but that's just my opinion. I would hope that it's unnecessary, but in this world gone mad?

I'd like someone to frak him over but real good.

Usually we refer by rank and last names when we need for expediency's sake, but it's honestly easier for us to just use the callsigns.
