My theory? She's pre-Eight and *that's* why she was in the witness protection program, not because of the thingy with the office-cum-war machine thingy.

Oh, the plot of Human Resources?

Hmm. I suppose it's possible she's pre-Eight in 'Book of Kells' - but why would she be texting Eight at the end of Deimos??

Unless it's part of the Monk's plan? That's the only thing I could come up with.

Well it wouldn't surprise me if the Monk sent that message - or got Lucie to do so - to prevent the Moon Base being blown up because he's meddling again...

The end of Deimos is throwing me a bit, because here she seems to know the Doctor (I mean she's texting him, so yeah ( ... )

I definitely got the impression at the end of Kells that Lucie didn't know the Doctor personally, but the end of Deimos seems to contradict that vigorously!

And she's travelling with the Meddling Monk - but seems not to know the Doctor?

Do bear in mind that she never actually meets the Doctor in the Book Of Kells - the one time they're in the same room together, he'd hiding in a trunk. Nor is the word "Doctor" ever mentioned in her hearing - the Monk talks about "Sister Maria and her Apothecary."

So there's really no reason to believe that The Book of Kells is set before her time with the Eigth Doctor, nor that she's suffering from some kind of amnesia.

Yes, but she must know Tasmin - Sister Maria is a time traveller because Tasmin says something that's obviously anachronistic for the time period - and Lucianos doesn't react - proving that "he" is a time traveller - and Lucie's quite smart enough to figure that much out.

That's as may be, but it doesn't follow on from that the Doctor's involved anywhere.

Need to fix your tag.

What tag?

If you're referring to the tags at the top of the post, they're correct - they're deliberately broken so the who_daily editor can copy and paste and then remove the blank spaces - which saves the editor time. That's WHY the thing's marked Who Daily link.

Actually missed the revelation as regards 'Lucianus' upon my first listening of 'The Book of Kells'; switched off the old MP3 as the end of story music began. Certainly quite a surprise when one discovered that scene upon one's second listening back at home later ( ... )

A pre-Blood of the Daleks Lucie could be interesting, though I'm guessing she's post-Death (and I'm wondering if she's out for revenge)...

I confess to being desperately disappointed by Tamsin - she was the least interesting character in Situation Vacant, and Fenella Woolger's character was way more interesting in Nevermore. If it wasn't for the return of Lucie, I wouldn't even have bothered buying the latest two EDNAs. I don't even get the impression that Eight likes Tamsin that much (I certainly don't feel he likes her as much as either Charley or Lucie, or even C'rizz!)

Oh, I don't know Tamsin has had some quite good lines and I have to say as a thirtysomething that has probably hasn't succeeded in everything one has set out to do that there is something I can relate to in the character.

Perhaps to be slightly more positive about recent Eight releases than I have; I could say its always nice to hear David Warner and Graeme Garden seems well cast as the Monk. Though it will be interesting to see whether a more sinister side to the character is developed, something that might already have been suggested with the mention of the 'strange, little man' in 'Nevermore'.

Oh, and the 'Tracey Ann Obermann fangirls David Warner' ancedote on the Extras was amusing. Not quite sure if that trumps the 'Tracey asked me to ask Nick whether I could be in the Tomorrow People?' ancedote that was in a Big Finish Podcast awhile back though.

I'm a 40 something who's not succeeded as much as I'd hoped twenty or even ten years ago. However, that's not really enough. I feel that I know hardly any more about Tamsin now than I did four releases ago - except that she hates improv, and apparently wears glasses.

David Warner was fab - but that goes without saying. I fangirl him as much as TAO - though I don't get to do it up close and personal as she does!
