Back in 1999 Ben Daniels starred in what's been dubbed the North's answer to 'Four Weddings and a Funeral': 'Fanny and Elvis'. Going to have to get my hands on this dvd! Interesting to see those 90's tropes about gay men/single straight women: confronting ticking biological clocks, trying to find a way to reconcile desires for life experiences normally connect to heterosexual partnership, negotiating friendship-love.

What also interested me was how often Ben's character was framed in a doorway - which you don't really get from the picspam because I cropped them - but I must have counted at least half a dozen instances, minimum. No idea what was going on there, but it intrigued me.

Ditto on the breakfast in bed business. Mmmmm.
