this weekend was weird
this weekend was an interesting one to say the least. i did absolutley nothing except play hockey and work. well today i went to a pumpkin patch with my fam, but thats a different story. the thing is, i was happy with what i did. not that i wouldnt be happy doing things with my friends, but when i am playing hockey there is no better feeling in the world. i havent expirienced one. plus, it was sweet on saturday night my brother came home and we played drop in hockey at st marys. i was wearing a half shield and my helmet was tipped back so my entire face was exposed. i proceeded to skate as fast as i could down the ice, until my face hit another kids helmet full force. i layed on the ground, not in pain, but in shock of what just happened. another player on the ice didnt think anything was wrong with me, and started tapping the back of my head with his stick. when i raised my face from the ice, there was a puddle of blood at least 2 feet in diameter and my face was covered in blood. there is a cut on my nose, and i think i might have broken it cause it is still swelled up, my lip is still fat and my nose bleeds randomly. i dont know why that didnt hurt. i guess i was more concerned with the consequences i would face if my father or my coach found out my nose was broken. especially sinc i wasnt wearing a cage. well, i havent told either one about the accident, and dont plan to. but i cant say why, but i enjoyed the expirience. to be completley honest, i am a little weirded out right now. this has never happened before, but i didnt hang out with anyone this weekend besides my brother, but i was HAPPY. i absolutley love playing hockey.
