haha, no i think you're pretty spot on! i mean in terms of who is best singer, who is second best, etc. i'm not sure i'd agree on kusano's rankings versus ryo's etc. but i havent seen much of kusano and i think you know more about music than i do and i'm horribly biased.

so yamapi and koyama we both know have the character for mountain in their last name.

but until i saw your pimp post, i never noticed that shige and ryo have the same character in their FIRST name too! it's the chinese character "liang" as in "shine". obviously its pronounced differently for both of their names but its kinda cool that they have the same character and that they're both from osaka.

seriously hanyee, seriously? after watching the news summary dvd and seeing the abake, i think shige's a very interesting character! AND I HAVE LIKE 2 fics about him and ryo all planned out and half-finished. HELP.

As for rankings, Kusano's voice is a lot stronger/more consistent than Ryo's, from what I can tell. It has a similar sort of raspy quality as Ryo's at times, but Kusano has better control with his, I think. That's why I kind of liken him to the NewS' version of Jin. ^_^

I think Koyama might be my temporary favorite, he's so dorkily cute in all the links you've got. And I see that Nishikido's arrogant/sarcastic portrayal in fic definitely has basis in truth. o.o (from watching the abake and interview links...I don't know them well, so that abake you linked, while funny, also gave off a feeling of deliberate tension and anti-nakamaship? Though the questions were obviously awkward-making questions, still...)

Tegoshi and Masuda's voices...wow, they're Johnny's that can sing! (see, I'm not into jpop entirely for the music, I'm mostly in it at this point for the boy band 'tardery, as beckerbell puts it best. XD

Haha if you watch the DVD specials from the concert I think it seems to suggest that all the answers to the abake were kind of inside-jokes or deliberately facetious. THEY ALL KNOW EXACTLY WHO IS SAYING WHAT. XD

THAT'S THE DVD. LOL The way they all kind of make fun of each other makes me think the whole abake was COMPLETELY full of Inside jokes. Like how they all make fun of Shige or how Ryo challenges Yamapi as the leader and Yamapi is TRYING VERY HARD NOT TO LAUGH THE ENTIRE TIME. The answers lie in that DVD. XD
