Zanpakutou stuff is addictive, isn't it? Once you dabble a bit in it you realize- whoa! There's suddenly this whole other WORLD with completely new characters for you to mess with!

Though I'm more in the school of thought that the zanpakutou pick- for the most part -their wielders, I do like the first one and how frustrating it must be not be used to their full potential.

*wide grin* I have such love for Ikkaku and Hozukimaru it's almost sickening, really. Except now I have two different Hozukimaru's in my head. One that's a wise, dry-witted ogre-demon and another that's a short tempered serpentine demon. And I love both too much to let either go. The ogre nicely balances out Ikkaku's beat-now-worry-later attitude but the lizard-thing snarks wonderfully with him^^

I also am really fond of the Urahara-Ururu/Mayuri-Nemu corallation that's been going around. I think it's highly plausible and a little creepy.

The one with Zaraki is a little painful and sad. The poor sword, just being tossed around like that. The last half was especially poignant, I thought. The lines about being asked her name and not knowing what to say actually made me go 'awwww ;_;'

Quickly though, this line reads weird: trapped between her owner and the deep, immobile barrier he has placed between them.

It sounds like she's stuck between Zaraki and the barrier but then you have the barrier between them...

So Ichigo's inner world went sideways because of Masaki's death? Interesting, I never would've considered it! And the mental image of Zangetsu cowering from the rain makes me wibble...
