So I was waiting in the doctor's office today (because what else do you go to the doctor's office to do?) & was subjected to the tail end of Young & the Restless. I am now confused. Flist help?
Seems they have had A Murder. Last time I was subjected to a snippet of Y&R it was all Genie Francis and Peter Bergman strolling in the park drinking lemonade, entirely non-homicidally... So. Questions.

- Who is this Diane person I've never heard of, and why did everybody in Genoa City want her dead?
- Why does Jack Abbott have possession of Diane's child? (Not that I'm complaining, because Peter Bergman + Random Child Actor = Adorableness.)
- Is that police desk sergeant in the scene where the Parks & Forests dude reports a stolen surveillance camera played by Coco from Fame, or by the lady from the Walkabout episode of Babylon 5? ETA: A reverse-engineered IMDB search - for Fame, not Y&R - reveals that Erica Gimpel is both TV's Coco, the Walkabout Lady, AND the uniform cop in that Y&R scene. Also, Wallace's Mom on Veronica Mars. This girl just does not want to stick in my brain well.
- What is up with the Ominous Embroidered Throw Pillows?
- How is it that Kay Chancellor is not dead yet?! Even if the actress isn't ready to kick it yet, in soap terms the character is practically mummified and ready to wither away to dust.
- Why has Sean Kanan dyed his nice dirty blond hair to that atrocious shade of blackish-brown?
- How can Peter Bergman and Steven Nichols still look that good at their ages?! Do they have portraits of themselves shriveling to hideousness in their attics?
