Comment to this post (stating that you want to do the meme) and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. 1) Something that inspires you My friends. They give me hope when I am feeling down, they cheer me on when things are going well and they are there for me for everything in between. And the REALLY good ones offer to hide bodies or provide alibis ;-) LOL
2) Favorite gemstone I don't often care about that sort of thing...but if I had to pick one...I'd go with Sapphire :-) Because I have pretty blue eyes :-) (Light sensitive and near-sighted, but pretty! LOL)
3) Describe the perfect weather Do you know what a Sun Break is? It's something that happens between rainstorms. Sometimes, the sky is perfectly clear and blue...and yet it is still gently raining and just off to the side is the most beautiful double or triple rainbow.... And sometimes while the sun is shining in front of you, you turn around, and there are dark rainclouds filling the horizon, visibly blowing toward you, with sheets of rain...and below them, the hills that are being rained on are still bathed by the sun. Very pretty...
Yes, I like the rain. I like it when it just starts falling and there's the smell of damp dirt and fresh cut grass and I think of camping ('cause it rains when I camp!). I like it when I'm outside and it's hot out and the rain is falling and you're in your t-shirt and getting wet and you just don't care. I like it when it's cold and stormy and striking against my windows and I'm curled up inside with a warm blankie and a cup of cocoa and I'm just listening to it. I like it when I'm camping and it just makes the whole world fresh and clean and my cloak gets damp and the fire sparks and...yeah, I like the rain. :-)
4) An activity/sport/fine art/hobby that you wish you had more talent in Singing and drawing. I have a cousin who is a professional comic artist and another who could have been a professional singer if she'd had the drive....that much talent in the family and I didn't get any. *cries a tiny bit*
5) A state in the United States that you've always wanted to visit Alaska. I've visited a lot of the others, one way or another, so...and of course, I'd love to visit the states my friends are in! (I'd say the state of Sane, 'cause I've always wanted to be in Sane *ba dum dum!* ...but let's face it...that doesn't exist around here! LOL)
6) A quote/philosophy that you live your life by “Be nice.” There's another, but I'll talk about it later in another set of questions. But seriously...it hurts no one to be nice (nor does it cost anything) and it reflects well on you...people remember you and like you...what's not to love about that?
7) The color of shirt you own the most of and is it your favorite color? Red...and yes it is :-) Although I find myself wearing green a lot as well. I blame it on the tie-dying...red was usually the last color we did, so the predominate shade is the green, LOL

1. You find yourself in Kitchen Stadium. oh god WHO DO YOU CHALLENGE AND WHY? Can I challenge the Chairman? He's a cutie :-) Uhm, let's see...Even though I would loooooose, I would likely pick Mario Batali, just because he's a great guy and a great sport :-)
2. Inui and Renji do take over Good Eats. What's their first episode about? Honestly, I'm not sure. I tuned in to see Inui, Renji and AB on the screen and had a geekgasm and just stared and drooled. But I recorded it so hopefully I'll find out on repeated watching :-) (LOL, I bet it was on Juice, though!)
3. You're suddenly in Middle Earth! Go on, look around. What and where are you? I'd like to be in Valinor, standing on the pier, helping the people coming from Arda get off the boats. If I cannot have that...then I'd like to be one of the elves working in Lord Elrond's library, please :-)
4. If you were a FF8 GF, which one would you be? Which one would you want to be? Which one? Probably Carbuncle. Cute, cuddly, best at protecting people, not good on offense. Which would I *want* to be? Queztacoatl. Why? Because then I could live in Zell's head and rock the thunder :-) Yeah....LOL!
5. What was your favorite D&D character like? Which *one* is my favorite? Wow...that is a hard question! I've liked all my characters...the dwarven clerics (2 now), the elven cleric, the half-elven cleric, the human fighter, the human paladin, the human monk, the human ranger, the elven rogues (2 of them) Oh, wait...one referred to herself as an elven “ranger.” She wore camo, had a ferret and a bow...I don't know *why* people kept calling her a rogue! Her favored enemy was, “spleen.” She was pretty awesome :-)
Favorite quote from D&D: “I'd be a better (insert character class here), if I could just do math.” Said frequently during games, especially if you just missed an attack throw, then get reminded of all the bonuses due to buff spells and realize that actually, you did hit them ;-)
6. Speaking of D&D, what are your favorite dice like? How are your rolls? My current favorites are the ones I use for my Elven Rogue. They are pink and sparkly. I *wanted* a set of the cool dark red ones with the gold shot...but they rolled horrid, so I tried the others and...they wanted to come home with me. LOL!
As for how my rolls are...I have a different set for each character. My lawful good dice don't do so well for my chaotic characters and vice versa, after all! I'm not one of those people who can roll 20s after 20s, but I do okay, most of the time...and when I don't...well, that's what role-playing is for! (Should I tell you about the time our Cleric had failed his saves and was being drained of levels by this sonic undead critter? It was undead and incorporeal...so not a lot was touching it, and every time it sang...that was bad. I thought about and was looking through my character sheet and spotted something...one of those things you always carry with you, but you rarely ever use....Thunderstones. Sonic attack, if they miss their save, they're deaf. So, on my next turn, my elven “ranger” threw one at him. My teammates were like, “You're attacking the cleric??” and the cleric was like, “Aw, I just made my save.” I said, “Are you sure, didn't you lose two levels?” and he responded with, “WHAT? I can't hear you!” LOL...saved him by making him deaf, it was beautiful.)

Let's see...invest for the future...Hire a caretaker for my nephew, put my other nephew and niece through college...and use the rest for travel and acquisition of material possessions. I would definitely bring a friend or two with me on my travels, too :-)

4. Where do you see yourself in 30 years time? Where would you like to be? Retired and traveling the globe with my husband.

2. Where would you live: big city, by the sea, or on a mountain? LOL...on a mountain near the ocean and not too far from the city. Right now I live in the suburbs of a big city (hey, it's smaller than some, but it still counts!), near a mountain and the ocean. Oregon has me spoiled and I like it that way.
3. What is your fav drink? It used to be Diet Coke. Now it's the store brand Fizzy Water. Although Mint Tea is gaining ground fast!
4. What was your dream occupation when you were a kid? Astronomer.
5. Where would you no way in hell travel, even if everything was paid for? Spelunking. I do not do well in small tight spaces! I would REALLY like to see Egypt and the Pyramids some day...but the prospect of all that heat makes me...not want to either, LOL!
6. Who is your fav non-asian actor? Good question. Sean Connery is definitely up there...as is Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart...there are so many I like...I don't really have One True Favorite, though.
7. If you had the opportunity, would you voice animes/cartoons? Sure! Sounds interesting! I'd be dreadfully embarrassed several times when I was first starting out and had to moan in pain or pant from running or something. But practice would make it all better :-)

What's the strangest thing you've had to fix something with? Oo, let me see if I can remember anything interesting... I'm not sure I have anything strange, though...I just use ordinary stuff...although, I have used Blue Painter's Tape to lay out a 12x12 Live Action Robo Rally grid on the carpeting of a hotel so we could play. That was a lot of fun. Forget Duct Tape, Blue Painter's Tape is far more useful and isn't as sticky, so if you have to tie someone up, it won't remove hair or leave residue when you remove it. Not...that I've ever done that.... I do have the plexiglass sheet over my air conditioner held in place (and with towels to help keep the cold out), with BPT. It's too much of a hassle to move the silly thing, so I made it more weather tight :-)
What's the one food you could never life without? I bet you think I'm going to say Cheese, huh? LOL...unfortunately I found that I could live without it, when my doctor was checking me for sensitivity to caseins. Fortunately I am good and eating cheese again.
No, apparently the answer is chocolate. I'm *trying* to lose weight...but I've found it best to keep Dark Chocolate chips in the house for when I get those cravings...a few of those will satisfy the cravings and not cost me major issues :-)
What's your biggest geek out moment been so far in your life? As in what literally made you go hyper and speak gibberish for a few minutes. Wow...I can clearly remember having done so in the past, but for the life of me, I cannot remember anything specific! LOL. I like sharing things with people and meeting friends who like the same thing... Oh! Wait, I remember one! Seeing the trailer for the live action Space Battleship Yamato movie! Ooooo, yes, that was a major geek out moment. My childhood come to the big screen...yes :-)

That was a lot of fun. Forget Duct Tape, Blue Painter's Tape is far more useful and isn't as sticky, so if you have to tie someone up, it won't remove hair or leave residue when you remove it. Not...that I've ever done that.... I do have the plexiglass sheet over my air conditioner held in place (and with towels to help keep the cold out), with BPT. It's too much of a hassle to move the silly thing, so I made it more weather tight :-)
What's the one food you could never life without? I bet you think I'm going to say Cheese, huh? LOL...unfortunately I found that I could live without it, when my doctor was checking me for sensitivity to caseins. Fortunately I am good and eating cheese again.
No, apparently the answer is chocolate. I'm *trying* to lose weight...but I've found it best to keep Dark Chocolate chips in the house for when I get those cravings...a few of those will satisfy the cravings and not cost me major issues :-)
What's your biggest geek out moment been so far in your life? As in what literally made you go hyper and speak gibberish for a few minutes. Wow...I can clearly remember having done so in the past, but for the life of me, I cannot remember anything specific! LOL. I like sharing things with people and meeting friends who like the same thing... Oh! Wait, I remember one! Seeing the trailer for the live action Space Battleship Yamato movie! Ooooo, yes, that was a major geek out moment. My childhood come to the big screen...yes :-)
