mrdreamjeansclick to enlarge This year I ran out of
Fortune Cookies! 350 and they went in about 3 hours. At the start, I dispensed handfuls. In the middle, I gave several, and then a few at a time. Towards the end I was giving fewer and fewer until finally it was one cookie per kid. Left overs never more.
ilv2laff made a pumpkin this year.
(But I forgot to take a picture of it.)
I wore my Renaissance Festival
Kirtle with the big green muppet-like house slippers that
minnesotatoast made for me.
I love the ads for
Reaper which show the Devil singing "
It's the most wonderful time of the year". That's my kind of humor.
The mother of one of the groups of kids turned out to be a woman I went to High School with, and we used to work together too; a fun stroll down memory lane. Some of the kids had really neat plastic skeleton hands which had a hole in them, into a bag to gather goodies.
One young lady was taking (what I presume to be) her sister out & about to gather goodies. While doing so, she was cradling a real live rabbit; so soft, so cute. Just don't eat the raisins. The little girl was dressed as a princess (not like something from
Donnie Darko).
I think that one very young Hispanic fireman with mom-in-tow didn't speak much English. He was shy. But when prompted by his mother, had learned to say "Fire! Fire!" and held out his plastic pumpkin bucket. Close enough, it was cute.
After the cookies ran out, I went next door to Trick-or-Drink and gossip.
