Selling some rare and/or out-of-print stuff on eBay! When spare time and I reacquaint ourselves, hopefully in the next forty-eight hours, I'll add more - like the Conor Oberst/Bill Hoover split, some more Bright Eyes and pre-Bright Eyes, Mountain Goats and probably some records I've completely forgotten about. Oh, and five billion Saddle Creek posters and promotional cards, which will be divided between the people who win the Creek items. In other news, the piddly clouds overhead left behind a light dusting of snow this morning in honor of my amazing grandmother's eighty-eighth birthday, the tree and lights are up, presents are wrapped and I'm drinking fresh ginger tea. In the realm of yarn, needles and hooks I've progressed from scarves to bikinis and fuzzy iPod cozies. Pictures later. And in four days I'll retrieve Chris from the Sunport. The past seven and a half months have been the longest in my life.
At the beginning of November, though, I decided to make a mix for the sole purpose of cheering myself up during those long cold evenings when the radiant heating has broken once again and the plumber won't get the right part in until Thursday - as you can see, I was anticipating this very week the entire time! - and it's been getting the job done ever since. Actually, my first thought was Wouldn't it be great to start a mix with the Target theme song? followed by And wouldn't it be even better if the theme for my favorite teenage drama were included as well? Naturally!
