Sorry for the lack of updates, school started back up and I’ve been really busy. Also, since all I’ve done recently is go to class and study, I don’t have much to say.

I’m reading an amazing book right now, “Blindness” by Jose Saramago. The story and writing style are really unique, interesting, engaging, and scary. I’ve been going to the UW gym three times a week and exercising for 45 minutes, split between two machines. Even though I find the stationary bike incredibly boring, I always use it for around half of my 45 minutes because I can read while I’m peddling away. I’m about half way through the book right now and can’t wait to see what happens.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is fast approaching. If you have the day off from school or work, the idea is that you'll celebrate the holiday by doing some volunteer work. In 2006 I helped out at Garfield High where there were workshops, a rally, and march. In 2007 I cleaned cots for the Red Cross. This year I’m going to do a clean up at the Olympic Sculpture Park. After last year’s fiasco with the cots (countless gallons of water + bare hands + soaking wet clothing + below freezing temperatures = 6 hours of hell), you would think I would choose an indoor project, but nooope! Apparently time really is the great healer. The Sculpture Park clean-up position info notes, “Dress for the weather and with heavy work shoes or boots.” Well, I own one pair of shoes and they are tennis shoes. I just hope it doesn’t rain.

And last but not least, I would like to plug John’s new blog, which can be found at http://www.johnsenner.com/blog/ It’s way more interesting than mine.

PS: Also, don’t ever buy/use this product- it tastes like ass.
