Oh, nice! Are you writing for the Christmas exchange?
Haha, the funny thing is I started out with the intention to write a detailed review, and it turned into a gif spam more than anything else. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
I prefer Harry/Ginny over Harry/Hermione, but I am not big on that ship. Their relationship in the books was definitely portrayed better, but it still didn't really do anything for me. It seemed so out of left field that it didn't seem to really fit right...even though I know that JKR set it up starting in book one with how Ginny ran after the train--apparently a romantic image. Still not big on them.
The Chamber kiss was lame. I know a lot of fans were really anticipating that, and it was just a major letdown. I mean, come on, a pointless ten-second shot of the entire Chamber with them in the center? Why was that even necessary?
I understand that DanRad couldn't wear the contacts because he was severely allergic to them, but I still think they could have been colored by CG or something...it's only mentioned in the books ten billion times how important his green eyes are. Oh well.
It (the epilogue) was well done for being my least favorite part of the entire series. Still, the makeup for Bonnie and Emma was particularly bad. They didn't really look old enough at all.
I...am one of those weird people who like Snape and James. I prefer James with Lily by far, but I kind of ship both of them. (Although, with Snape, not nearly to the crazy extent that a lot of his fangirls do. I don't think Snape really deserved to be with Lily, but I like exploring the possibilities if their friendship ever rekindled, or what have you.)
Anyway! Thanks for the comment, and I guess I'll see you at the fest!
Eek no. Way too scared to participate in a fest yet. I will read though and watch the proceedings very closely so that I can see how it all runs. Then maybe next time I can join in. I'm just working on being around consistently before I join in with things.
I did go along with Harry and Ginny in the books and found it mildly believable. But then, in the movies Daniel and Emma just had so much more chemistry than Daniel and Bonnie and Emma and Rupert combined. (as a new friend of mine put it). Anyway, that's my opinion, but I don't follow either ship very closely in fandom.
Anyway I feel like I am rambling now. The chamber kiss - yes I agree. Even though it was done poorly I was surprised they did it at all, because in the book we follow Harry and he then finds Ron and Hermione later.
Nope the make up was no where near old enough! Well at least very disproportionate to the guys.
You are right that is weird re James and Snape. Haha. just teasing. Snape certainly did not deserve her.
OK, done rambling. See you over at the fest. I am very excited!!!
