Here's to turning a crispy golden brown

Last week I got me a job. I'm a shallow water guard at Water Country. To that I say huzzah, because it pays better than most places and will actually be fun. I just hope I don't blister in the sun, because that's sort of what tends to happen. I don't tan very well at all. I mean, last summer I was outside every day and the only tan I really got was from the lines on my Chacos. But I guess I'll be more exposed this summer, wearing that swimsuit all the time and whatnot...

Anyway, today was my second orientation and it was at WC, rather than Busch Gardens where the first one was. (The parks are kind of connected at the hip...) I haven't been to WC in years, probably since middle school, so I had no idea how to get there. My mom and dad showed me the way since they were going to mess about in Williamsburg, so I thought I wouldn't have any issues getting home. Lol I am so directionless that it took me an hour to get back, because I went all the way into Williamsburg before I spotted Route 60 and was like "Hey! I know that one!"

Should have taken the stupid interstate.

I have the directional sense of a wet paper bag, obviously. And I wasted the rest of my gas getting home so my mom had to fill it up again, as she will so generously be doing until I get paid. What an adventure.

Until I get my schedule from WC, I can't do anything about my possible job at the Great Wolf Lodge. I think my interview went well though, so perhaps I will have both jobs. Moneyyyy, yay!

On the other hand...once I start getting paid, I am definitely going to try and hit up the beach. Anybody want to join meee?
