[The scene opens to the site of a large mansion, one that those from Gensokyo migh recognize. Above hovers a nearly-full moon, waning gibbous if one looks closely. Scudding clouds pass back and forth in front of it, the kind spent from the rain of another day. Even in the pale moonlight though, it is easy to see the crimson hue of the building. The view zooms in though, passing through the doors, down hallways that have seen recent combat, deep into a large, cathedral-like hall. There are two figures there, one seated on a throne looking down at the other, dripping blood, who comes before her. The hunter glares up at her with a scarlet stare, expression nothing like the elegant grace others might know her for now. If there were a soundtrack, then
this would totally be playing right now.]
Scarlet Devil. We finally meet.
[The small one on the throne, however, sat up with a curious expression on her face. She took a small sip from a wine goblet in her hand, a goblet filled with a nondescript dark red liquid.]
Finally? That's a strange thing to say since I wasn't expecting company. Do you want tea?
I've been hunting you for quite a while now.
[A derisive snort at that offer]
Hospitality from the devil? As if there were any human who'd accept that but a fool. The only thing I want from you is your death.
[There's a momentary pause at that statement.]
You'd be mistaken, and you are mistaken. The one who turns down an offer in good faith is the fool herself.
If you've come seeking death, you won't find mine.
Oh? And I came all this way. It seems your hospitality only goes so far as offering tea, but not what I came after.
Won't you have at least one dance with me?
It's rude to demand some things of a host, after all.
I'd never turn down such a proposal. But it's a shame this little vampire hunter hadn't the nerve to face me yesterday during the full moon.
...not that it'll change the outcome.
Nerve? Oh no, I simply didn't have the time - I'm a very busy hunter, you see?
But don't worry, I've set aside the whole night for you, if need be.
Make all the excuses you like.
[And then Remilia stands, batlike wings unfurling behind her in a way that makes her petite frame look bigger than it is. She tosses the wineglass to the side, allowing it to crash against the floor in an explosion of shattered glass and dark red liquid.]
It looks like it's going to be a fun night.
[The vampire hunter steps forwards as well, pulling out a number of silver knives as she starts to approach the throne]
It looks like it's going to be a long night.
[If this had a soundtrack, right now it would be switching to
this as they commenced an epic fight to end all fights, but there isn't and it doesn't; instead, the video ends just as they're getting started:]
