My beloved mountain bike has once again died, and as it is the third time in 8 months this has happened, I currently have no intention on fixing it. There's really no point in doing so anyway. According to my homeboy down at Nagayama Cycle, it's too dang old and the part that keeps breaking (the rear axle) has since seen extraordinary technical advancements only found on newer, slightly higher end bikes. In search of one of these newer, slightly higher end bikes, I ventured over to Sports Deport to get a glimpse of the future of cycling.
If I had unlimited funds, I'd get myself a road bike. The white Felt in particular is pretty amazing looking in person.
I originally wanted a bike because I thought it'd be cheaper than going out and getting yet another shitty, used car. Wrong.
These bikes have seen better days. Maybe I should add my own to the wall.
At the end of the day I decided to stick with a mountain bike, and finally spotted the one I most need to get my hands on. Sadly it too is pricey...and now the quest begins to find a cheaper, slightly used, older version of the bike I want so I can get back to having some form of transportation that's not crowded with high school students and old ladies.
