英語の冒険 (An Adventure In English)

Do not adjust your internetz. You are indeed reading a new update to this blog. I know you've been sitting in front of your computer waiting with bated breath, possibly on the verge of suicide since I know your life revolves around this blog and all, but please feel free to put the razor blade away and/or step away from the edge of that building. Parties, end of the year events, and temporary loss of internet has conspired to keep me from updated, but relax cuz everything is going to be ooooook.

Speaking of end of the year events, I recently took part in my first (possibly last?) happyoukai. A happyoukai is an event schools typically put on at the end of the year the feature skits, dances, singing, and, in my case, a 15 minute English program. I used to have something similar when I was a wee lad in elementary school (shout outs to Evergreen Montessori School) called the Winter Festival. It was a somewhat nerve racking experience trying to whip the kids into shape for their on stage debut, but I think it went well and I believe encho sensei and others feel the same way (kinda hard to tell with Japanese people). The kids could have been louder but their English was pretty clear and they looked like they had a good time so I'm happy with that. Thank jebus MaryAnn was around to calm my nerves. I don't remember stage lights being so damn blinding.
