Well, today was quite restful, work aside. James and Stefan came over for some book reading(I won't say what kind of book.....oh SHOOT! That makes it sound sick. OK. It was dungeons and dragons. There! Are you happy?) followed closely with some perfect dark. My brother even jumped in for a few rounds. It was RCPlishous!
I refrained from talking enough to recover my voice a bit and THANK GOD! I can talk. I just hope it recovers in time for Sunday because ROCKTROPLOUS may very well have their first "mini-gig".
As for my arm/back, I didn't really injure it bad and am completely healed.
Then theres the injury of my pride, dignity and image at work. I was written-up tonight at work. The whole thing was very strange and katie didn't seem like she wanted to do it. Of course, who knows what kinda trouble that grass would cause going unmowed an extra 3 hours? Trust me, I've telemarketed for Truegreen/chemlawn. I KNOW how important lawn care is to the balance and well being of society! And DON'T get me started on hippies (hey, I delivered to some cool hippies from wisconsin with an volkswagon van today!)
Meditation of the day:
Healing comes in all forms. My voice, arm, back, relations with work, old friendships and hurt feelings. All of these are slowly healing and we can learn something from this. If I were to yell a little, or overdo lifting, I would agrivate the injury and probably be back to square one.
The key to emotional healing is FORGIVENESS. It is an easy thing to give, but very difficult for many to hold. It is the most bountiful grace in the world because IT is GRACE itself.
We must always remember that Forgiveness is not an instantaneous action. It is a continuous thing that we must practice AND ask for! If we don't, we may agrivate old wounds and be back where we started:))
