I ran 8 miles today. And I didn't die. And I only coughed once. *Sigh of relief.* That cold really but a huge damper on my running/training.

Steff, looks like you won't have to carry me through the half marathon.

Today I ran without my Garmin. (For non-runners, little GPS thing that tells how fast/far you're going.) I didn't worry about pace or time or minutes run/walk. I just ran and it felt great ( Read more... )

I ran a 5k this morning. A nice run. I finished in about 34 minutes, nothing to scream about, but not too shabby given the erratic way I've been training. It felt good to get out and run with a lot of people. And the race had lots of free schwag ( Read more... )

I think my brain is now made of silly putty. Today was a long day at work. And I came the closest I've come in awhile to missing deadline. I also think I was the grouchiest I've been at work in a long time. (Sorry coworkers!) Our new system is way better, but there are still kinks. Six mile run today with Michelle. Felt good. It sprinkled on us just a bit, and it sure felt nice.

Next week, 6.2 miles (also know as a 10k) of hills on Bainbridge Island. I'm looking forward to it, but a bit nervous about the hills.
