Grima Wormtongue played with dolls. In the secrecy of his chamber, he kept four or five small figures--one was dressed in all black, one had soft, flaxen hair. When no one was watching, he acted out life as he would have had it. The Lady Eowyn came to him time and time again, seeking his counsel, his wisdom, his charm, his sexual prowess. Time and time again, he gave it her. He used his powers to knock Theoden from his throne and to banish Eomer from Rohan.
Eomer only grew suspicious after he walked in on Grima playing dolls.
