I had one of the greatest weekends I've had in a long time. It didn't involve much drinking so it lays fresh in my mind, clear as day. Friday night I saw Saw V with my favorite. It wasn't too bad, but terribly predictable towards the end. There were really obnoxious people around us so that didn't help much. There's no point in talking loudly if you don't know what the hell you're talking about. The guy directly next to me kept referencing to the wrong prequels to his friend. It's this type of idiocy that spreads around keeping shitty movies at the top of IMDb. Afterwards, I drove Em to Nicole's and I topped off two beers on the way home and called it a night.
Saturday, I had to work due to failed attempts at getting the day off. Tim and I enjoyed a double-header of superhero movies- Iron Man, then The Incredible Hulk. Watching them one after another had the effect that I totally wanted. Very well worth it. Then he introduced me to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and that definitely brought the "lulz". We never do work on weekend coverage.

That night I picked up Emmy and I found that there are certain difficulties in eating sunflower seeds. Kodi, Nicole, and Tim came in the latter part of the evening for some suds. I love seeing Kodi because it's always a chance to play some Madden '09. There is nothing like playing Madden, having a great girl by your side (asking if you're winning or losing), and not having a care in the world. I just haven't felt attention such as that in so long and it's nice to have it again. We ended up putting in The Strangers, which marked my sixth time watching it... still shat my pants. It didn't help that I was getting tipped. Tim left, which left us four to reminisce of old times which is always great.
The next morning, which was today, Emmy left at 9:00am which made me sad, but not really because I ended up picking her up again this afternoon. This was dually noted after I watched The Incredible Hulk (my tenth time) with my family. Nonetheless, the movie ended, I watched the kickoff to the Giants and Steelers game and I shat my pants again. Then I left to pick her up listening to the shitty NFL AM radio station. When we got back to my house I got to resume the game which went off amazingly. Third quarter started and Em was hungry so we went to Friday's as I promised her. Yum yum to Jack Daniel's Ribs and Shrimp Platter. After dinner, back at the Delima residence, Dad has the game on, it's fourth quarter and the Giants tied the game up, and went on to win it.
At this point, I could easily stop recalling the weekend and be totally satisfied, but I can't... because it's not over! A smile crosses my face as quickly skim this entry.
I drive my favorite back home and she tells me to come in for a bit (which was an understatement- no puns). I talk to her dad and brother about the preceding Giants game, exchanging a couple "manly" words about receivers, tight ends, and other homosexual sounding terms, but great nonetheless. Then I go to the living room where her mom and sister are watching Extreme Makeover, so I grab a seat. Then followed by her dad and brother and we all watched it adding in gests and jokes relevant to the show. I love good family time. Nothing better. It's also great to know that my family isn't the only one still doing so. Her family feels like mine in some aspects and I love that. I feel totally comfortable and no hostility.
The final hours were spent with Emmy and her mom watching Seventeen Children and Counting... where we shared and learned some valuable insights to the lives of some Christians. Her mom left us to go to bed and I sat there with Fi-fi on my lap sleeping, holding onto Emmy with one arm. As I sat there content with my head so wrapped in the moment, I thought: this is perfect. And it is.
Everything has been absolutely perfect.
