Thank God for Mary Kay sales directors...

Good evening all...

Thank God for Mary Kay sales directors, for without them, there would be no Mary Kay cookbook. And I wouldn't be privileged to all these wonderful recipes from the mid and southwest regions of the country.

I'm so queer. I've made two casseroles today. All in preparation for tomorrow's thanksgiving dinner of course. I'll have to get up and bake one of them in the morning. My mom's coming to pick me up at 11:00 am. Then we're off to the booming town of Krum. Well, the outskirts of it anyway. For those of you not familiar, Krum is about 10 minutes west of Denton, with a whopping population of 600 give or take. That's where my aunt, Johnna lives. She and her husband, Daryl, have a few acres of farm land. It will be nice. This will be the first year we haven't had thanksgiving at my grandparents' house. We can't this year because they're having "Southfork" remodeled.

Sidenote: I've never in my life, seen SO much marble and faux finish on plaster.

But anyway, back before my mom left for Prague, she had given me this old Mary Kay cookbook. Back then I was like, "What the fuck crazy lady?!?!" But there really is good stuff in there. Although, they have a picture of Miss Mary Kay on the cover. Keep in mind this was in the 80's before she died. That bitch looks like an old drag queen! She is scary. I would never buy makeup from somebody looking like that! I think that's why Avon is more widely known.

So in closing, Cooking with Mary Kay has simply been a joy. I love casseroles...they're so easy. What's your favorite recipe?

Have a good night all. Happy Thanksgiving!!
