Well, the bits are still rifling around in my head, but I noticed something funny about Dead Ever After, so I figured that I'd post on it. Since I'm going to post on that, I figured I'd point out just how in character Eric was. Even from the early books. I figured I'd deal with the whole idea that Eric is OOC in this book - that we have all never ( Read more... )

My gut frustration in DEA is that Eric acted TOO much in character. I had really hoped that he would manage to throw off the chains of vampire hierarchy and embrace the rare chance of happiness he could have with Sookie. But alas... I'm too much of a romantic fool! LOL ( ... )

Lol. Man, I thought he would too. I figured that he'd be smart enough to see that going along with this stuff always means he'll be subject to the strictures of power, but he failed. At this point, I'm just hoping he never realises that, because to have had this and thrown it away for power is too cruel to realise later ( ... )

Well I look forward to that post! And will hope that it is arse long...as this is part of the whole wrap up that didn't seem quite right to me. It seems too perfect of a way to send Sookie off into her almost vampire free life ( ... )

I think it was cleverly done. But that's the post I'm writing now. :D And I'll make sure to address those issues you mention.

There's probably some sort of tentativeness with Eric and Freyda because they'd not want to upset the future contract. I mean, if Eric is going to do special things on the side to please Sookie, then that's going to be something that would upset the balance of everything. This is Eric showing good faith, and proving to Freyda that he'll play along and consider her. And it's in Bart and Russell's contract that they have to put the consideration of the other person's needs *first*. I'm sure Freyda would be easy to everything else, but not Sookie.

There are answers we'll never know. Who sent Kelvin and Hod is one. :D

Yay! Lol. :D

Yes - who did send the hapless Kelvin and Hod??? Did Eric ever refinish the top of his ornate coffee table??? Where does Felipe get those fabulous capes??? And what the devil did Appius get (but not enjoy because of his timely demise) for arranging Eric's hand in the marriage??? Burning questions in the SVM world I tell you! LOL!

These are the things we will sadly never know. I must know about the coffee table, but it's probably in storage somewhere while Eric's gone. He probably fixed it, and then in 200 years when he comes back to get it, it'll look like there *was* no damage. If it's not in After Dead, I shall enquire as to its fate. :D
