Given the obsession with so many FF writers and Sookie and Eric having babies, I just know at least one of them is going to use this new toy then claim that they're being really original... my brain is dribbling out my ears as I type this with the dullness.
I think they`ll find a way for Sookie to have kids without making him human, though. Most fanfic writers love Eric the vampire too much to humanize him :-)
As you already know, I LOVED this book. It had so much subtext that I`m all over the place, thinking about it.
I`m not good a predictions because I don`t think in that direction - I`m more of an interpreter than a fortune teller.
But I think Felipe is the key in the next book. I`ve had a soft spot for him ever since the Sigebert thing and I think this book showed that it was Victor and Victor alone who acted against Eric (and Sookie). Freyda was mentioned as one of the royals who were drooling over a weakened Nevada. I think the next book will be all about Eric choosing sides - or having sides chosen for him - between Freyda and Felipe. It could go both ways but given my soft spot for Felipe I think Eric may side with Felipe against Freyda, thus getting out of the marriage too. And a possible trial.
What kind of odds would you give that storyline? :-) I would of course include the black cape and some charming Spanish accent if I ever wrote it ;-)
I'm leaving your anon comment screened, so it looks tidy to you all.
I haven't had enough time to assimilate it yet. I definitely have to re-read a couple of times.
Felipe is going to be key - but he's enough of a bastard to frighten Eric and Victor, so I don't have any soft spot. And he's so tricky.
I've gotta have a good look at the map of America *pulls out zones pictures* Freyda is obviously looking to expand into heavy casino type areas, because she's skipping to Louisiana and Nevada. I wonder if Freyda is building up a vampire army in her state. Now that Victor has been killed, then there's a greater chance of fighting off Freyda (cause Victor was a dickhead).
Good! I was planning on asking you to do it. It popped up as anon first because my LJ wasn`t on *rolls eyes at self*
He is tricky. But he has such a charming accent so... :-P
Felipe is lacking some of his good fighters now and I`m sure Freyda knows it.
I wonder if something like this has happened before. Did vampires ever build empires? That would have been interesting to know. Of course, with Eric telling Sookie absolutely nothing, he leaves us poor readers in the darkness too.
I don't delete, but I don't mind hiding it. I have a thing about deleting things. And it's identical to your signed in one.
Oh you're easy. :D
I'm sure she does.
I doubt that they ever built empires, based on what I think happened in Pre-Revelation days. He does leave us readers in the dark *kicks Eric in the shin*.
I wanted to kick Sam in the nuts that he wouldn't let Sookie research on the shifter Fae encyclopedia (if it was reversed, she'd let him know what he needed to know in a heartbeat)
You know... I'm not sure she would. She'd tell him what she could, but if there was a reason she couldn't tell him more she'd feel bad about it... which is pretty much what happened in reverse.
