So My Son Now Knows That I Have Written Fanfiction

And not just that, but slash fic. Mpreg slash fic, even.

I can't remember how it all started, but in a conversation, we were talking about something and I guess I just sort of told him that I used to write fic. Then, IIRC, I said, "and if you don't mind reading stories about boys holding hands with each other and kissing each other on the lips occasionally, I'll tell you where they're archived." He has not yet asked me for the link. I think I freaked him out.

The mpreg revelation came later. We were talking, believe it or not, about gravity. We were discussing how everything that has mass has a small gravitational pull and I made a comment about how difficult reproduction would be. This led to mentions of asexual reproduction, which led to me making a comment about seeming to recall someone having written a story in which Clark reproduces by budding. The Sprog evinced some astonishment and so I said that we had a great deal of fun playing the Clark's biology and that I turned him into a marsupial at one point. So when we got home, I found "Papa Don't Preach" on ff.net and told him that if he ever wanted to read my Marsupial!Clark fic, this was it. He . . . wasn't interested. Maybe someday, though. And pigs may floss someday as well.

In other news (partially of a fanfic-related nature), as thrilled as I am about the progess made in marriage equality over the recent few years, Kansas allowing gay marriage this early messes up the Honestyverse's timeline. Clark and Lex's kids (commonly called "the twins" though they are biological cousins born on successive days) were born in June of 2009. They're only five and a half now. The Honestyverse plan was for Lex to sponsor a bill giving Kansas marriage equality when the twins were around 11, so 2020 or so.
