The rest of the week ending 8/24/12
I missed taking photos on Tuesday and Wednesday--was sleeping before working overnight on Tuesday, and afterwards on Wednesday (and was too tired to care even after getting up in the afternoon!). While I was off being re-certified in Big People Resuscitation (otherwise known as BLS), the framers worked on the roof. Because the roofline of the addition is stepped in on one side, it impinged on the existing window in one of the bedrooms. So they took it out and filled in with sheathing. This is Melissa's old bedroom. (Note the black floral border--this was a compromise between her teenaged desire to paint the walls black, and my ABSOLUTELY NOT response!)

At day's end, a peek into each corner of the new space, which will become extensions of the two bedrooms.

This is where the existing deck will be extended to meet the addition. The family room windows will be replaced by a sliding door, and there is SUPPOSED to be a door coming out of the kitchen, as well. I hope they didn't just forget to frame a rough opening!
