And so it comes to my favourite time of the year, Halloween. If there one word that sums up Christmas for me, it's Family. For Halloween, the only word to describe it is Fun. This season is filled with the delicious fun of the darker side of life filled with pumpkins, Tim Burton movies, dressing up and more sugar you can stuff into am already hyper kid.
It starts with this year's batch of pumpkins on our annual pumpkin carving extravanganza party.
Nothing says more fun with good food, good drinks and huge pumpkins to carve with. I've gotten more and more adventurous over the years and this year, it's a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp tribute for me:
And to top it off, it's my yearly pumpkin pie bake off. This year, I have decided to go for the real American pie and opted for canned pumpkin and followed the recipe on the Libby's can. A little too sweet for my taste but otherwise, rather good. Yum yum!
