So. Um. Five things Ronon's tattoos don't mean?

1. Melena does not have a matching mark, nor did she pick it out for him.

2. It does not mean Ago sema insurego. Which is “I am a rebel,” a catchphrase from Sateda’s famous runner epic written in the language Acias. Acias was the dead language--twice as dead now--that all the academics learned on Sateda, broken phrases of which were just starting to come into vogue among the Satedan youth when Ronon was culled. His little sister had a dark blue blouse that read Cappi lagnema, which the salesgirl told her meant “sweet face” but Ronon knew meant nonsensically, “head cake”. It was also incorrectly conjugated

Oh these are great. I like the backstory on Ronon--it fits with his revised past from Sateda. And the part about knowing what the ancient language really translates into (yay for studying Latin, I can critique scholarly sweatshirts).

I just emitted a squeak that freaked out my wee baby turtle when I saw number 5. I coved number 5. I want to have number 5's BABIES!

Or, you know, possibly just print it out and stick it on my door as a sign for when I'm at work in the dining hall.
