- Twenty six going on twelve
- Trained as a chef and a butcher, and thus prone to talking about food a truly ridiculous amount.
- Oldest of five kids, or second of six. It's complicated.
- An expat twice over. Born in Argentina, left there to move to Australia with my family when I was ten years old, got my dual citizenship...and then left there to move to a particularly rural corner of the UK because my husband got orders to go there for work. We're due to move AGAIN at the end of this year, to South Africa.
- Married to an absurdly tall, very quiet man named Michael (Mick). He's in the Aussie army, but currently attached to the equivalent British Army regiment. He drops in and out a lot. Right now, he's somewhere in Afghanistan.
- Wrangler in chief to a two year old son, his beloved plushy squid (don't ever try to derail their epic love) and a Rhodesian Ridgeback pup named after an Archbishop. Expecting another littley right about the time we move to Africa...oh shit.

I don't know if you'd want to be penpals with me - I tend to go through email only, for security reasons - but I kind of just wanted to tell you that you chose a lovely name for yourself when you transitioned. Elijah is one of my favourite male names, though it sounds ridiculous with our surname and so I can't give it to my kid...*grumble*
