I just wrote all of my annotations under the impression that "to purport" means to do some with purposefully. Right? I don't know, it sounded right to me. And now I find out it means "to claim"! Crikey. I wrote, full sentences and citing and all, seven pages yesterday. Double-spaced, that's fifteen pages. While I can't guarantee all of it made sense (or was "cited to the correct source" or "not made-up on the spot"), I can say that that is a new record for me ( Read more... )
