Britt totally reminded me of the
World's Greatest Battle of the Wits (on MySpace), so, to commemerate its approximate one-year anniversary, here is a collection of some of my favorite quotes from along the way -- grammar occasionally corrected, of course. A completely abritrary whirlwind of posts made in the name of something none of us would give a damn about a short year later.
"I'd also like to add, for every play, we have a "StuCo supports the Arts" night where we go and watch your goddamn plays despite your bitching of our work. And when we get to school the next day, do we go on about how boring it was? No. That's a little something called maturity. You'll catch on in time." - Clinton
"Kudos to you for coming to something that you clearly loathe with a burning passion (theatre) simply to support some friends and add to your checklist of 'Spirited and Selfless Things I've Done That I Can Later Boast About in an Angry Rant on MySpace'." - Me, in response to the previous statement from Clinton.
"Aww... is little Melanie sad because she doesn't have as many friends as us?" - Clinton
"Obviously you can't take a little JOKE, which is sad, for someone who just stumbled her way through a comedy." - Clinton, as directed at me
That was a sweet note to end on. "Here, if you dig through these shards of glass, I might have left some candy for you." - Me, again in response to Clinton's comment above.
"A public forum is a place for discussion... We will argue with you." - Justin
"Melanie, you are an attention whore and I'm surprised you didn't seize the opportunity to toot your own horn." - Derek
"What I really like about this thread is that I don't like it. But I kind of don't like that I like that I don't like it, so I really don't like it, but I kind of do. And thats what I like about it. I think you should add a little more lens flare though."- Derek, in an astute imitation of Mr. Allen (I believe)
EDIT:
I made this post on August 23rd, but I forgot to ever post it publicly, so here you are!
