Well, it's all over. Time to start doing homework again. Time to rid myself of the dirty little habit "No play equals sleep", because there no longer is a play. I suddenly have just enough on my plate... and it only kinda feels good.

I have to win a debate-off to be able to do public debate at the Districts. Speech and Debate, for those who don't know. Pain in the ass, as I'm not real up-to-date on the world right now. And I have to do my newspaper article, which was due to Ediotor Traci today. Ahem. I guess I'll be playing the Busy Newbie to the Jagwire staff. I hate that.

I'm looking forward to next weekend, when there is little to do. WEll, sort of. I'd like to have some fun, but I might be going up to Eugene to visit Matt at U of O on Saturday. I'd also like to watch some of my friends at the tournament, but... I dunno. I'm not going, which is just as well -- maybe somebody more desperate will take my place. But I just didn't want to beg $100 off my parents to miss two more days of school (after missing two days last week for Pan and being backed up on homework) and do Student Congress, which I've never seen or done before. It'd just be bad. So I opted out, if not just to give myself some rest and free time for the first weekend in a long time.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, there is a casting call for the new Gus van Sant movie filming up in the Northwest. I guess "Elephant" went so well... Anyway, I'd really like to attend the casting call, but I doubt I'm really what they'd need and I doubt I can convince Mom to take me down to wait in line with a bunch of scary punk kids. :P Too bad. Thumbsucker was fun. "Fun". So maybe some of you out there might be interested. We'll see.

All right. So I need to go work on this article...

Man, you know, I should have pitched an article to Traci about how it feels to work 4.5 months on a play, then go back to reality. Build up sympathy for the oh-so-woefully overworked drama crowd. ;)
