(no subject)
It's been another one of those up and down days. Well down and up - which is good :)
Woke up this morning (almost slept in) and went to the Gulbenkian, thinking it wouldn't be too bad, but Debs is sitting there and she suddenly has a go at me because I 'haven't followed the production handbook' and done my budget sheets properly. Fair enough, I haven't read the book, but I've been sending her my budgets for 6 weeks and she hasn't said a thing, it's like she's been waiting for an opportunity to pounce and have a go at me. It really upset me and Gemma (A) and Christine were really nice telling me to ignore her and stuff.
Ho hum. Anyway we went into a tech and Jemma had changed loads of cues and evidently forgotten which of course was my fault. Joe, Hannah and I were having a good bitching session down the cans though which was pretty funny :)
After all this I went home to sort out the budget then went for my re-call for Dan with Tasha. That was one of the funniest things I've ever done. I had to pretend to be deaf and chat up this guy. The guy I had to chat up was this guy calles Chris who is possibly the weirdest person I've ever met. He was about 5'5 and we started to improvise with the script (if that makes sense, well hopefully you know what I mean) and this guy was like "But, shouldn't we like set up the room? Can you guys give me some acting tips? Shouldn't we read through it again? Shall I try a different accent? Shall we sit in different positions?" This was for a piece of 30 second text. He was possibly the weirdest guy I've ever met. I know I've said that before, but it needed repeating.
Anyway, I came back after that and sat down and I was trembling cos I was so stressed and worried and nervous! Anyway, went over to the Gulb and had Debs standing by me for ages which was horrible, but up I cued the lights and the show went on. It went soooooo smoothly!!! I was so happy. Leckan messed up a few of his lines but I saved him ;) Apparently he noticed and he was really grateful hehehe.
After the show I nipped into Mungos and saw Tasha, who told me we hadn't got parts in the play. I looked over and saw Dan and his new cast - oh.my.god. It was the ANNOYING girl from yesterday and this other girl called Hannah who's just a weirdo and then the rest of the cast looked really odd - was quite funny really. Oh deary me, you're probably thinking "christ she's bitter" but seriously, you should see this cast. Made up of freaks who are Dan's friends, it was just odd. I stayed with Tasha for a bit before coming back and giving Dave a quick ring and Nick phoned me. IT's only his bloody driving test tomorrow - I'd completely forgotten, I'm such a knob.
Nipped over to the K Bar to see the cast and crew but it was dead busy so we went to Mungos where we completely embarrassed Leckan by singing at the tops of our voices! Hehehe was quite funny though. Jemma was really happy, she said all the cues were spot on and that she was so chuffed. I was so happy :) so hopefully all should be alright tomorrow.
