Lo, I have found a new world!
I have discovered the world outside of Sherlock, and it is good!
Or: How Penni rediscovered her love of horror title Let's Plays and pen and paper rpgs.
I think I needed this, too. piplover has been telling me how I need to get away from my fic before I burn out, and, yet again, she was totally right. I'm having a blast doing shit that's utterly unrelated to Sherlock. I've been powering up my alter ego on Echo Bazaar, catching up with the Yogscast, watching Let's Play: Amnesia Dark Descent and learning all about the Slender Man via Marble Hornets.
...yeah, there is a distinct scary motif going on here, but that's besides the point! I feel so much lighter now, like my head's been decompressed. I've got a fuckton of open fics I haven't finished reading and I'm not overly anxious to get to them. I'm having too much fun in non-Sherlocky ways.
...of course the leapord doesn't ever really change his shorts, and now I'm siezed by the unyielding desire to put Sherlock and John into Don't Rest Your Head. They'd be fucking perfect candidates for the Mad City, and I totally have this plot seedling where John almost becomes a nightmare and Sherlock's overuse of his Exhaustion Talent sends him to sleep in the midst of serious Shit Going Down. Fuck but it would be awesome.
Oh! And I got a job interview. That happened, too.
