12. Home (Harry Potter; Ron/Draco; PG)
Home for Draco is elegant and cold. He wears collars and long sleeves around the Manor, even in summer, because the heat never travels, and his Father never cares.
Vacation for Draco is Weasley. He’s warm as a cauldron and freckled with little maroon pebbles. He reminds Draco vaguely of the beach house he used to spend his summers at as a child. Draco likes that he can wrap himself in Weasley’s embrace and breathe in fresh blood traitor kisses. He likes even more that it’s not permanent, that he can always go back home when he gets too scared.
29. Brothers and sisters (Harry Potter; Ron/Draco; PG)
Ron looses it in the middle of the Great Hall and swings at Draco. Beside Dumbledore, McGonagall is immediately at her feet.
“Albus, do something!” She. The Gryffindor and Slytherin tables are now roaring, cheering, encouraging their housemates. Draco pounces on Ron.
Dumbledore smiles. “Why don’t you sit down, Minerva? You too, Severus.”
Snape’s eyes bug out. “Headmaster, those two-”
“I don’t think,” Dumbledore interrupts, “that it’s merely a coincidence that of all the siblings Ronald has, he is the one in the same year as Mr. Malfoy.” He smiles at them. “Why don’t we allow it to happen?”
