So, first off, thank you to all of you that made it to my house on the 10th. I appreciate that you stopped by, and it was very lovely to see you all after such a long time (well, some of you, anyway). We both had a lovely time--thank you for having us. I hope you are finding the book as sumptuous as it looks....pears and chocolate go particularly well together :-)

Why can't you take up a hobby? I find knitting to be very relaxing on a wet and dreary day.

Well, I can't wear most wool, and I've never really had a knack for knitting. I know how and all, but I could never knit a straight line, let alone a whole... anything, really. I think I'm going to start sewing again, maybe, because the clothes I've been seeing lately have been very disappointingly ugly or small or poorly constructed, so we'll see.

I just wish I could make my own patterns, that's all.
