Title: Letting Go/Gone

Summary: Letting go - A breif look at Adelle's thoughts at the end of Epitaph 2. Gone - Takes place just after the events of 'The Hollow Men'
“You’re job is much harder than mine.”
She felt the tears flowing over her cheeks as he smiled at her, the beginnings of some peace starting to shine from his face.
As he turned and walked away from her she felt her heart break and she collapsed to the floor, unable to hold it back, unable to control the grief that burned through her veins like fire.
Watching the boy genius she knew while his mind had cracked had been unbearable, but this, this was worse.
She was supposed to protect him, look after him, but she had failed him.

He’d just got her back.
He’d just accepted who he was and who she was.
He knew he loved her and she loved him.
They were going to beat this and be together and then…then she was gone, replaced with a killer.
The sound of the gunshot echoed through his mind. He could see her eyes wide with fear before the light left them and her body hit the floor.
There had been blood on his face that was easily removed, but the blood on his hands still remained.
His heart would never mend; he was just another broken Doll
