It is time to post my fourth and final pic spam for my Trailer Park Challenge! You can find the first few parts here:
Part 1,
Part 2,
Part 3A,
Part 3B. If you would like to play this challenge too it was created by
fuzzy_spork and you can find the rules
here.
The heir poll was close this time and for awhile we had a 3-way-tie going. But in the end Jud Fry, the only legitimate child of my heir Ellie and her husband Elmer, was the the lucky winner.
He celebrated his victory when I first opened the lot by wetting himself when the ghost of one of the family's hunting dogs scared him. Poor thing!
As soon as the sun came up we had a surprise visit from the gypsy who left a lamp for Sam. Sam celebrated by jumping on the bed.
Elmer celebrated by using the lamp to wish for peace of mind. I needed the extra permaplat sim in the house while I dealt with all of the uncontrollable teenagers.
Next we had a series of birthdays. Summer became a teen.
And Sunny became an adult!
Sunny managed to age up in the green and to not have a fear of being uneducated. I still let her have a date drop from the wishing well to bring up her aspiration before she moved out. She ended up getting her Great-Aunt Dixie's boyfriend Komei since those two never got engaged. Oops!
The next morning Sunny got to escape the trailer and move in with her plant sim Aunts and Uncles on the other side of town.
Just some adorable pictures of the next heir entertaining himself. He regularly tucked his younger siblings in at night.
He also found himself a girlfriend in Opal Raymond and she definitely helped to keep his aspiration up.
Summer, meanwhile thought that Gavin Newson was pretty cute.
And Sam had his teen birthday which meant that I had two adults and six uncontrollable teens in the house.
This was particularly frustrating because at some point Johnny became a very cranky ghost and night time became a game of trying to keep the teens fed so that they wouldn't starve to death when they were inevitably scared by a ghost.
I suspect that the reason that Johnny was angry is that his grave disappeared. I have no idea what happened to it.
But I think angry teens with low aspiration may have had something to do with it.
In fact, acting out because of low aspiration was a fairly common occurrence.
On the morning of Candi's birthday she decided to skip school and sleep in after being up all night.
And when she finally woke up in the afternoon she didn't have any wants that I could fulfill so she ended up growing up badly and having a meltdown about that.
As always the cure for a bad birthday is a wishing well date drop.
And a chance to move out to a better place.
I did try to keep the teen's aspirations up by influencing them to do things in their wants panel. When Andi rolled up the want to flirt I had Ellie influence her to flirt with Sam since they are completely unrelated to each other. They ended up with red hearts but had negative attraction so they never did any autonomous romantic interactions.
When summer rolled around the Smiths had a very successful garage sale as they got rid of extra baby items. Gavin Newson stopped by and purchased some of the baby items. I guess he thought it was too good of a deal to pass up for his toddler siblings!
I honestly thought that there wouldn't be many interesting things going on as I finished up playing this challenge. After all it was just a couple of sim days. But then there was the night when both trees on the lot caught fire.
And the night that Summer autonomously decided to stargaze and got herself abducted by aliens!
I think Andi was a bit horrified since she ran outside to use the telescope just after Summer disappeared.
Andi was really happy when her adopted sister returned but Jud Fry just thought it was hilarious.
With the extra cash from the garage sale the Smiths threw a few family parties, which were inevitably broken up by the cops.
The day before Jud Fry's birthday I sent the family to the community pool to try and see if I could get the teens to roll some fulfillable wants. Instead they all just hung around talking to each other and the men refused to leave the bathroom. *rolls eyes*
Jud Fry did roll up the want to be friends with his Uncle Will before he aged up but when I tried to influence him to do things that would gain relationship points he didn't want to cooperate.
So he grew up in the red. Fortunately he didn't have a fear of growing up poorly or of missing college so we escaped aspiration failure as we officially ended the challenge!
Of course it felt a bit weird to just stop playing and I wanted to get Johnny's grave back so I had Ellie use a second Genie wish to resurrect her father.
Johnny was a really fun sim to play though and I didn't want to kill him off again.
So instead I let him resurrect Camryn as well.
And then they celebrated the end of the challenge with Sam while the Genie lamp disappeared! (I have never used up all the wishes on a lamp before so that was the first time that I had seen that particular animation!)
Johnny and Camryn were no longer married after being resurrected so I had Johnny propose again and then they got married for a second time in the kitchen.
After that I had them move out so that I can play them again if I want to in the future.
As for Jud Fry, you'll recall that he was in love with townie teen Opal Raymond. So I sent her to college to age her up and then dropped her out and moved her in.
Opal got pregnant on the first try.
And when she started showing Jud Fry followed the family tradition and asked her to marry him.
I had Jud Fry throw a wedding party and invited as many relatives as possible. The ladies came appropriately dressed but Johnny was pretty embarrassed about his default formal wear.
Jud Fry and Opal were the first to get to rent a wedding arch in this whole challenge.
(Also, this photo? So many inappropriate captions...)
Most of the guests watched the ceremony but Sunny and Candi preferred to play a game of darts inside.
Elmer continued his wedding tradition of immediately getting a drink after the vows.
And with the help of the sim blender Opal continued the tradition of giving birth during the wedding party. I don't think she was very happy about the large audience.
She and Jud Fry had a daughter named Elmyra (after the character from Looney Tunes).
The birth wasn't enough to take the party up to the top score but Summer helped out with that by falling in love with Gavin after flirting in the bathroom.
And Ellie proved that she can cook with fire without burning down the house. So in all it was an exciting day at the trailer!
After the wedding party was over I grew Elmyra up. She's a fun mix of her parents although I think she has scary eyebrows!
And that is where I shall leave you. I do plan to keep playing these sims whenever I want to play with no strings attached. I've had a lot of fun playing this challenge and want to say thank you to fuzzy for creating it!
