It's been hot and humid earlier this week. At least Jana's been able to have strawberries from the garden just about everyday this week. And starting Tuesday, a handful of peas each day! I'm thinking of letting her grow a second round of peas for the fall, but I'll be more insistent about not dumping a whole packet of seeds and will build a trellis ( Read more... )

Before I left, I did some last minute watering and addressing of seedlings. Michael did ask, "Any instructions for taking care of the seedlings?" I immediately replied, "No! Um, no thank you. Finally. I found 2 on the Wonder Light tomato, which is now over 5' tall and really branching out. Had a hard time getting in close through the branches to get a picture of two. I hope they have a feast and hang around!
