Laugh, I can't get any further on Jana's raglan top-down sweater. I'm still waiting for the size 6DPN needles I ordered from JoAnn.com last week. I am currently about to finish 1 arm but need the smaller needles for the cuff. I need them for the neckband as well. And I don't want to start on the other arm since my size 8 needles are still on the first arm waiting to be switched off. So much for finishing within a week.
Here's how much of the sweater I was able to complete with just 1 ball of yarn. I'm using Bernat Denimstyle cotton blend that I bought when Jana was born. I knew I wanted to make some sort of play sweater with it but only found a pattern I liked at the Knitting Festival 2 weeks ago.
While dragging my feet on finishing some socks, I casted on for a new scarf for myself. I found this fantastic yarn from the local Knitting Festival. Worsted Weight and wool/silk blend. I've been wanting a scarf with warmth and softness yet I am tired of thick scarves (which is what I seem to only own). I also wanted some variegation in color. I found it with a Four Play hank from
Brooks Farms, TX.
Hmm, now where's that card that has the photo of the yarn I picked up from the festival?
