Ok, I'm impressed. I'm darn impressed. We were at the Trax Farms' Strawberry Festival for 3 hours yesterday and I want to go back today. Trax Farms is HUGE.
There is lots of shopping to be done. And when Jana gets fussy, the Strawberry Festival comes in handy. First thing came a ride on a train where the cars were made from these 50 gallon barrels painted, pulled by a tractor with a train facade.
Then off to the playground.
Strawberries!
Now time to wash hands and have lunch. For lunch, Michael had strawberry shortcake, Jana had a bowl of strawberries and I had a strawberry slush. Now shopping. I had sensory overload plus cautious about my lack of space, I picked up:
Pineapple Sage
Orange Spearmint
Dill
2 8' self-watering pots - for the sage and spearmint to be kept indoors
groceries
Jana got anxious again, so back to the train ("choo choo") and playground. Veggies were on sale for $0.99 each. I almost picked up a cantaloupe, I probably should for that price. Decent pepper and tomato variety. My eggplant looks better though. ;)
Today, I hope to do the "choo choo" and playground again for Jana. Pick up more strawberry plants and chives. And visit the petting zoo for Jana, I wonder if she'll do a pony ride. We'll be going with Wiltrud and Jason today. Oh, I should also pick up hardware that I saw to hang a window box on my metal railing. There was a awesome wind chime made of bamboo I loved, but it was $70. Budget is tight right now, so that is a definite luxury expense.
