The darn groundhog got through. I put reinforcements to the fencing up Friday only to find this on Saturday!
And then on Sunday, I went to harvest the potatoes and only found these!
I should have more yukon golds than reds and I tossed so many half eaten yukons. Michael did help reinforce the fencing further. Community gardeners are telling me that they've seen the groundhog and he looks big. Considering how much he's been eating out of my garden and all of the other plots he's broken into, I'm not surprised. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if someone mistakenly takes him for a small bear. :/
Well, I think I now have some plans that I can manage and address Jana's request for carrots and more pumpkins. I have pumpkin starters already too, they were started about a week after harvesting her only pumpkin already.
Garden To Do:
1) cut down the rest of the raspberry canes
2) clear out or cut down remaining plants in corn bed, add one of the stacked potato bins, fill with planting material and Jana can sow her Veggie Tales carrot seeds
3) plant pumpkins in former potato bin (less 1 bin, see 2)
4) clear the weeds in the back corner to place base for compost tumbler
5) help Michael for whenever he works on fixing and reinforcing points on the tumbler
