(no subject)
my mom was looking for a job and so she went to work where i worked for a trial period. one day she asked me to take the day off so i did and i wandered around and ended up at the radiostation. i found a note addressed to me. it asked me if the station is still up.. what's going on with the station? can i please fix it? i was thinking "but i'm only the music director! and i'm retiring anyway, people think i'm the general manager?" i felt i needed to go fix people's misconceptions.
it was only 10 or so in the morning and i thought "if i got rich and i quit my job, i'd find something to do everyday. it won't be like boring or anything". i went back to my car which was parked in some parking lot and my mom was there in the back seat. i was surprised to see her. "you're back already?"
"i got fired" she said "they said i worked too slow and didn't get anything out on time"
she started crying. i started wondering if i worked too slow too. "was the boss nice to you?"
"yes, he was very nice." i hugged her then i thought "oh no i have TOTO to work on today, why did i take the day off? I must work for half a day at least"
so i was gonna go into the travel agency to make an appointment to work in the PM but the line was too long so i went to this other store and i asked them if i could use their phone. i said i was just calling my boss, but they were unsure for a while and had to watch me make the call to make sure i wasn't calling something bad. it took me a while to find the phone number... i didn't realize the number was on my business card for quite a while.
