YES, WE CAN

So I caucused tonight. What an amazing experience. And hot, crowded, etc., but mostly amazing. It feels indescribable to watch CNN right now and see the votes for Kansas and know that my vote is up there. And can I just say, I've never been more proud to be a Kansan. 73% for Obama. That's just incredible to me ( Read more... )

I'm so envious that you got to caucus tonight - here in Ohio, we don't get to vote for another month. I've been watching the coverage on CNN all night, though, and I'm largely exhilarated by the results of the primaries and caucuses across the country. (um, beyond Clinton getting California. I really don't want her as a president.) It's just so amazing to see all of this happening and see Obama win so many states, since even two months ago it was almost a given that Clinton would get the nomination. &hearts I'm so happy it's turned out this way.

Me too! Having another month before your primary probably means Obama will be campaigning a lot more in Ohio and you might get a chance to see him, on the upside. It does suck that you have to wait though. *pets*

Damn, you guys make me want to vote, too. It's a pity that I'm not allowed. ;)

(I was okay with Clinton until she pulled that crying stunt. That cost her a lot of sympathy from my side.)

We were talking about American politics and the presidential candidates in my Poli Sci class today. Our teacher took a quick poll of us all, and Obama won with an overwhelming majority. People keep saying to me though, "but he's still a man." And I just keep saying, "and Hillary is still white."

I don't think I've ever been more proud to know someone from Kansas, haha. I don't know if he can win, but I really hope that he does.

Lol, thank you! In my individual town, I think Obama got 80% of the vote. *loves Lawrence* :D
