So I caucused tonight. What an amazing experience. And hot, crowded, etc., but mostly amazing. It feels indescribable to watch CNN right now and see the votes for Kansas and know that my vote is up there. And can I just say, I've never been more proud to be a Kansan. 73% for Obama. That's just incredible to me.
Our caucus location was packed, too. We were basically in a huge barn (shut up) at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. 2218 people showed up. And 1822 of them were for Obama! I know the race isn't over yet. Not by a long shot. But I really think Obama can win the nomination and the presidency. In the past week, watching last week's debate and other videos, I have realized that Clinton isn't as bad as I thought. But she just isn't what I want in a president. Though she may be a woman, to me she's still more of the same.
I'm going to go to the Obama website now and see about becoming a precinct captain. I'm not going to put off my wholehearted participation in this "movement" (as Obama calls it) any longer. I'm ready for change in this country. I hope you are too. ♥

ETA: Also,
this person in
obama_2008 says oh-so-coherently many of the reasons I support Obama. I highly suggest giving it a read.
