So, I watched a few movies this weekend.
The Mists of Avalon: So I finally finished this one. It was pretty good. I think I liked the guy who played Arthur the best. Completely disagreed with Michael Vartan playing Lancelot, but he did look better with a beard at the end. The chick who played Guinevere was pretty good- I totally hated her, of course. I actually ended up liking the woman that played Morgaine (too lazy to type out her name), which was surprising.
The Howards of Virginia: Wow, weird movie. Old black-and-white movie with Cary Grant in it that my mom put on my Netflix list. It's about the Revolutionary War. I really hated Cary Grant's character's wife. She was awful.
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: Yeah, I finally watched this last night. And I really liked it. I thought the humor was a bit weird, but I enjoyed it. I kind of want to read the books now, even though I've heard they're really different from the movie. I liked Jude Law as Lemony Snicket and Jim Carrey too. :D
So, while I'm making this entry I might as well make a list of all of the movies I'm planning on watching in the near future (ie, I have them on my computer):
A Walk to Remember
The Secret Garden
Brokeback Mountain
Memoirs of a Geisha
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
Hamlet (2000)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Lord of War
Batman Begins
Shaun of the Dead
The Notebook
Fantastic Four
Rent
The only one I've seen before is The Secret Garden, so I'll probably be posting my reaction to the rest here too. ;) Got them all from
iheartcinema, by the way.
