Work and Knitting

Nov 13, 2011 16:16

I have not turned on my computer in a number of weeks now, or so it feels anyway.  I have been busy, very busy.

It was great having zarkia home.  We didn't do a whole lot but it was fantastic to just sit around and relax and knit.  Since zarkia left I have done nothing but work and knit.

I'm exhausted.  Eleven days of work in a row will take it out of you.  The last two days I was teaching mountain skill to the college, the four days before those I was teaching this years FÁS course how to kayak on moving water, the two days before that more mountain skill with John and the three days before those I was teaching rock climbing to the FÁS students. Suffice to say i've been a very busy girl.  I have today off and i'm back to work for four more days kayaking with the FÁS course and then I have one more days work and so far as I know that's it for me and work.

My evenings have been spent knitting.  zarkia brought me home a knitting loom.  I love it, so far i've made two hats, a yoga mat bag and i'm almost finished a hand bag.  My bag is coming of really well my only problem is that i've run out of wool.  I'll get to a shop next weekend so i'll be able to finish it then. I'm going to felt the wool, i'm really excited about seeing how it's going to turn out.  The pattern pictures look cool, hopefully mine will be somewhat the same.

I need a new project now to keep me going till next weekend.
